KDDK partner Chris Lee
has been instrumental in establishing an educational fund
for Ajmal Myachel, a 22-year-old Afghan man who began
classes at USI in January. Myachel, who speaks seven languages,
worked as an interpreter for Lee and his Indiana National
Guard battalion in Afghanistan for more than a year. Most
recently Myachel served as an interpreter in Indianapolis
for a 7-year-old- Afghan girl and her father. He hopes
to major in foreign languages at USI and later work in
some capacity for the new Afghan government. For more
