KDDK Volunteers: Wise Plays Harp for Hospice Patients

Harpist Leah Wise, a KDDK legal assistant, is a regular volunteer with the Deaconess Hospice Care Center. Leah plays her harp for hospice patients and their families several times each month in the Hospice Care Center, in their homes and in nursing homes. "It is such a privilege to be able to play for these patients and their families," Leah says. "I've seen over and over how the music brings comfort and emotional healing, and have learned to never underestimate the power of music."
