From The KDDK Advantage - May 2006

Attorney Notes

KDDK Attorneys Amy Steinhart and Beth Browning took part in a program for potential franchisees on April 18, one of a series of presentations offered to small business owners and potential owners by Evansville’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Amy and Beth addressed the topics of choosing business entities and the Uniform Franchise Offering Circular - a document required by the FTC that is designed to assist potential franchisees in making a fully-informed decision about the franchises they are considering.

Alan and Susan Shovers were honored on May 5, along with Dr. Larry and Suzy Sims, for their work as the founders of the Tri-State Multiple Sclerosis Association, established in 2001. The “Evening of Excellence” took place at the Casino Aztar Conference Center with cocktails, dinner and entertainment by Gina Moore.

The Shovers also will host a showing of their Steuben Glass art collection at their home on May 19 to benefit the future Kenneth P. McCutchan Art Center, an addition planned for the Liberal Arts Center at University of Southern Indiana. Food by Just Rennie’s and famous Susan Shovers desserts will be served. For more information call 812-465-7149.
