Attorney Notes

Michael G. Smith has joined KDDK as an associate attorney. A graduate of Indiana University School of Law, Michael’s practice areas are litigation, medical malpractice defense and appellate work.

Partner Brian Williams was recently elected vice president of the Evansville Bar Foundation Board of Directors for the 2007-08 term. The Foundation supports public understanding of the law and strives to improve the delivery of legal services to the Evansville community.

Maria Worthington has been elected to the Evansville Bar Association Board of Directors. She will serve a three year term. Worthington is a past chairman of both the Evansville Bar Association Continuing Legal Education Committee and the Family Law Section.

Jake Fulcher has accepted the position of vice chair of the employment law section of the Evansville Bar Association. After serving a year as vice chair, Jake will assume the position of chair of the EBA employment law section in June, 2008.

Carrie Mount Roelle and Rebecca Ness Rhymer addressed some 40 attendees on July 26 at a seminar titled “Landlord & Tenant Issues: Resolve Them the First Time.” The seminar covered legislative updates; leases, back rent and evictions; and management’s rights concerning deposits and damages.
