$2,000
Marital trust package with federal estate tax planning for couples whose estates exceed or will exceed the "applicable exclusion amount" [see "*" below where we set forth the ever-increasing "applicable exclusion amount" available to each person through proper planning], when some assets ARE to be transferred to trust for other beneficiaries at first death, OR when post-death trust for children or others IS necessary.

Marital trust package with federal estate planning for couples whose estates exceed or will exceed the "applicable exclusion amount" [see "*" below where we set forth the ever-increasing "applicable exclusion amount" available to each person through proper planning], when more than one testamentary trust IS necessary, OR when generation-skipping provisions or other special planning needs exist.
$3,000
Substantial business planning, disability planning, preparation of assignments to transfer property into trust, deeds, assignments of land contracts, and other real estate documents will be undertaken and charged separately, depending upon the degree of title work or other issues which apply.
Hourly
Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts - When the estate of an individual (including death benefits of life insurance) exceeds or will exceed $1,000,000 (for a married couple, $2,000,000), it is wise to remove life insurance from your ownership. If outright gifting of insurance policies to beneficiaries is not practical, placing life insurance policies (or other assets) in an irrevocable trust may be extremely advantageous.
$2,500
* The "applicable exclusion amount" is $1.5 million for 2004 & 2005, $2 million for 2006 - 2008 and $3.5 million for 2009 (NB: the federal estate tax is then repealed in full only for 2010, after which the exclusion reverts to $1 million for 2011 and beyond, unless modified by the Congress - a highly likely scenario)!
Advance Directives - These documents authorize others to act on your behalf. They are included with Will or Trust Packages or are available separately.
Health Care Representative Appointment - This document authorizes another to give informed consent to medical treatment, including life support decisions and nursing home admissions, if an individual is unable to provide self-consent.
$150

Additional Health Care Representative Appointment for spouse

$50
Living Will Declaration or Life Prolonging Procedures Declaration - These documents address issues involving (i) life support systems and (ii) artificially-supplied nutrition and hydration, once an individual has been physician-certified to have an incurable injury, disease or illness.
$150

Additional Declaration for spouse

$50
Durable Power of Attorney - This document authorizes another to act on an individual's behalf with respect to most financial matters.
$150

Additional Power of Attorney for spouse

$50
